• This position plays a key role in driving the company forward to growth and profitability
• This role is the plant floor leader and be looked at to set the tone and culture of the floor
• First in-last out mentality, leadership through example
• Holds employees accountable
• Always looks at situations through the lenses of “What is best for the company"

Tasks   

• All labour scheduling, overtime and plant operations will be managed by the Department Manager
• Ensures that all departments will be held responsible for the quality of the product exiting their department with full documentation to support  
• Daily production meetings will be scheduled and chaired by the Department Manager – these are critical and can’t be missed
• Weekly scheduling meetings will be chaired by the Department Manager and include Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, and the General Manager 
•  
• All plant HR issues managed by the Department Manager in partnership with the HR Manager and the GM
• Payroll will be managed by the General Manager and Accounting, time cards are reviewed by the Department Manager and passed on to the GM

 Responsibilities

• Responsible for all plant employees and departments 
• Responsible for the health and safety of the operations in conjunction with the Joint H&S team 
• Establishing and achieving the shipping schedule
• Responsible for product manufacturing quality 
•  

Skills and Experience:

• Manufacturing experience is an asset
• Window and Door experience is an asset
•
