The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to assist us with our ongoing growth and evolution at SLEEGERS. This position provides instruction, guidance and leadership to employees by assisting in solving day to day problems. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Creating daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules by analyzing multiple variables, including availability of raw materials, current and future order volume, labour availability, and production capacity
  Reviewing capacity, resolving bottlenecks and constraints, and suggesting process improvements to improve efficiencies
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
• Providing effective leadership and direction to hourly employees (coaching, cross-training, addressing and resolution of employee-related issues and concerns) within the framework of the Company’s policies ensuring consistency in dealing with employee issues.
• Model and promote adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures, injury investigations and initiatives

 The Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 5 years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment with proven leadership capabilities
• A leader who is innovative, collaborative, and embraces a continuous improvement approach to production.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and direct others.
• Initiative, resourcefulness and autonomy.
• Previous pressure vessel welding experience, is considered an asset.
