Pall Water is hiring a Global Quality Assurance Manager. This position is responsible for leadership for the Quality function for all Pall Water regions (Americas, EMEA and APAC) and leading the organization, directly and indirectly, to deliver quality products to our customers. This includes ensuring the right team and processes are in place to support our goals and objectives to meet our customer and internal quality.

 

Quality Management (70%):

  • Hands-on responsibility for the execution of an effective Quality Management System providing quality oversight and leadership to the quality team as well as providing quality support to the business

  • Maintain and continuously review the efficiency of the Global Quality Management System (QMS) and provide input to improve the current processes

  • Effectively lead resolution/problem solving to Internal Non-Conformances (NC´s), ensuring standard work has been followed, root causes are clearly defined, communicated and corrective actions are implemented and sustained

  • Effectively lead resolution/problem solving to External Customer Complaints (CC´s), ensuring standard work has been followed, root causes are clearly defined, communicated and corrective actions are implemented and sustained

  • Manage 3rd Party QA Inspection agencies to perform supplier inspections according to Pall Water Inspection Test Plans (ITP´s), including ITP reports and managing corrective and preventive actions 

  • Conduct internal audits and supplier audits, including reports and managing actions as per ISO9001 requirements

  • Complete all required Quality Assurance tasks to onboard new suppliers

  • Represent the QA function, including at Project Close-Outs meetings

  • Provide QA support to all functions with focus on compliance with ISO9001 and possibly other local certifications (Drinking Water Certification)

  • Prepare and represent the business for all ISO9001 audits

  • Train the Pall Water teams on QMS, as needed

     

People Leadership, Organizational and Talent Development (15%):

  • Engage and retain a highly productive and efficient Quality team while driving development and succession planning for direct reports.

  • Evaluates, coaches and guides direct reports in operational excellence, addressing gaps and enacting countermeasures.

  • Effectively and efficiently performance manage direct reports as required.

  • Develop and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with cross-functional peers/teams and suppliers addressing areas of concern and continuing performance requirements.

  • Communicate and enforce company policies and country and team compliance as driven through the Danaher Standards (Code) of Conduct.

 

Danaher Business System (DBS) Excellence (15%):

  • Create and sustain an organizational culture with regular kaizen activities leveraging daily management and continuous process improvement to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

  • Drive Quality Improvement - Significantly contribute to the leadership of the overall Pall Water quality using the Problem Solving Process (PSP) to drive process improvement.

 

Up to 50% Travel Required – Domestic and Global trips to Suppliers, Customers and Internal locations to perform the duties of the position.

 

Qualifications:

Engineering degree (Industrial / Quality) with a minimum of 5 years of quality professional leadership experience.

 

5 years of experience in the following areas required:

  • Oversight, problem-solving, and monitoring assurance systems

  • Quality Assurance Management, ISO9001:2015 and or comparable systems

  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives

  • Planning and conducting inspections including use and knowledge of inspection equipment and techniques

 

Experience in the following is preferred:

  • Project-based systems business

  • Water industry

  • People leadership

  • Danaher Business System (DBS)  

 

Competencies:

  • Proven mastery in relevant Quality Assurance Management

  • Ability to implement and manage a Quality Assurance System

  • Effective knowledge of the relevant regulations, standards and operating procedures

  • Advanced computer skills, especially Excel (data analysis)

  • Solve problems analytically, use a structured approach to daily work

  • Deliver productivity in a self-directed work environment. Be self-directed, results-oriented, accountable, flexible, independent and proactive in achieving results. Operate with a high sense of urgency and meet deadlines.

  • Proven hands-on experience in creating, implementing and leading continuous improvement initiatives for processes and systems.

  • Successful experience in leadership roles, including people leadership, with progressively increasing responsibility.

  • Proven organization and team development skills including succession planning, developing future leaders and top grading. Driven positive team engagement, collaboration and teamwork.
