The Opportunity

We are recruiting a CNC Programmer to join us at SLEEGERS. The successful candidate will join our Production Team and be responsible for developing 3D and flat pattern parts to be nested on 2D cutting machines and 3D bending machines. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Formulating the necessary calculations to determine where materials should be cut and nested for material utilization
  • Maintaining machine utilization through effective scheduling of resources
  • Ensuring traceability of products throughout production process
  • Adjusting and safeguard the programming and machine settings to the desired cutting paths
  • Inspecting and verify the finished product aligns with the required product specifications
  • Interfacing with all stakeholders involved on timeline and any logistical issues
  • Engaging externally on machine reliability issues
  • Troubleshooting any issues that arises during the manufacturing process
  • Performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting issues that may occur throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

 

The Ideal candidate

  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Previous experience running and operating nesting CNC software
  • Extensive experience with computer modeling 3D and 2D software
  • Knowledgeable with reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving problems that arises
  • Mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, quality and safety conscience
  • Ability to work independently and have a positive attitude
