Position Overview
As a Maintenance Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of automated systems within the Medicom Manufacturing facility. Your expertise in automation, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining optimal performance and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and control systems.
  • Ensure the efficiency and reliability of automated processes within the manufacturing facility.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in automated systems using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
  • Implement system upgrades and improvements to enhance productivity and reliability.
  • Manage automation projects from conception to implementation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize automated processes.
  • Provide training and technical support to staff on automation systems.
  • Continuously research and adapt to new technologies to improve efficiency.
     
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process environment.
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with automation software and tools, including SCADA, HMI, and CAD software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and continuously improve skills.
     
Assets
  • Experience in managing automation projects.
  • Certifications such as AWS, ISTQB, CE, ITIL, CCNA, or similar.
