Business Development Animal Health Manager

About the job

As a member of our Global Sales team, you will drive significant sales growth for Trudell’s Animal Health products globally through a deep understanding of pet owners and veterinarian behaviors, key market growth drivers, identifying new opportunities, developing commercial channels, and executing plans with excellence.

 

Responsibilities Include:

Go-To-Market Strategy Development

  • Identify opportunities globally for Animal Health products
  • Successfully develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for significant sustained sales growth considering products, competition, channels, prescribers, pet owners, and other key market drivers
  • Identify, develop, nurture, key internal and external relationships to incorporate business and market insights into strategy development

Business Development

  • Identify and capitalize on potential partnerships that enable both short term and long-term success to Animal Health products portfolio
  • Nurture and develop current and new commercial partners in key markets to gain commitment for focused actions that help exceed sales targets and take advantage of local market opportunities pro-actively
  • Coordinate the development and education activities for key accounts, distributors, and veterinarians
  • Provide inputs to product team on key learnings from the market that contribute to product improvements or new product opportunities

Planning and Execution

  • Develop integrated annual plans and quarterly key results to achieve sales growth targets, collaborating with key functions (Marketing, Evidence, Customer Service) across TMI
  • Collaborate with digital marketing on identifying strategies and establishing tactics to increase demand
  • Establish key rhythms and scorecards and publish progress to plan periodically that drives effective collaboration across the company to achieve targets
  • Monitor and publish key metrics that show opportunities, and execution performance to plan to gain support for key actions and make progress to plan
  • Review effectiveness of all sales and marketing programs within Animal Health to refine focus as needed to drive growth

Promote and Differentiate Effectively Animal Health Products

  • Represent Trudell Animal Health products in key conferences and trade shows and measure impact of actions to shape future investments
  • Develop relationships with key influencers to promote Animal health products

Health and Safety

  • Comply with relevant health and safety legislation, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing or Business or a related field of study
  • Sales and/or business development experience for setting up direct or indirect business models in different geographies, US experience is preferred
  • Documented prior sales, business development and marketing functions in developing integrated plans
  • 5+ years of experience working with new product development and marketing functions in developing integrated plans
  • Veterinary market experience, particularly within the US is an asset
  • E-commerce channel development and digital marketing
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including strong business writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to create and implement effective business plans, manage the implementation of the actions and briefing the creation of materials
  • Possess a strong understanding of sales processes, strategic and innovative commercial awareness, and planning and negotiation skills
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Pharmaceutical related industry as a Business Development Manager or similar

Tech-savvy, with the ability to pick up new programs and processes quickly and accurately, with:

  • High proficiency in software like Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, Pardot, MS 365 and others
  • Experience in digital business management tools
