About The Role

  • Lead land construction operations from sale to builder through subdivision completion and municipal assumption.
  • Ensure all site work meets approved designs, budgets, schedules, and technical/legislative standards, including all accepted Subdivision, Development and Condominium Agreements.
  • Oversee tendering, awarding, and management of subcontractors, and support strong collaboration with the Development Approvals and Real Estate teams.
  • Coordinate with utility providers to provide neighbourhood utility design, including Offer-to-Connect packages, joint trench installation, and final energization. Ensure utility deliverables meet Project Manager requirements.
  • Monitor budgets and spending, providing timely cost reports, forecasts, and invoice validation.
  • Verify construction quality and compliance through drawing interpretation, field reviews, and adherence to municipal standards.
  • Provide on-site leadership and resolve issues with Contractors, Builders, and Homeowners while upholding Customer Experience standards.
  • Review Erosion & Sediment Control reports and ensure corrective actions meet environmental and municipal requirements.
  • Support Real Estate by tracking home construction progress and ensuring compliance with special provisions and approved plans.
  • Lead and develop team members through goal-setting, coaching, and performance evaluations.

Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, and/or Civil Engineering Technology or a related field at an accredited Community College or University.
  • At least 5 years of experience related to Civil Engineering and construction projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with external contractors and service providers to support project progress towards defined milestones.
  • Self-directed, flexible, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple detailed tasks in a fast-paced environment.
