Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst-Heat will be responsible to provide financial leadership in decision making processes through provision of risks, financial information, and analytics for the business. This role will partner with the business to drive business growth and profitability. This role will be responsible for gaining business alignment to successfully identify and understand the business strategy.
Skills, Capabilities & Responsibilities:
Strategist
- Support the development of site strategic plans, budgets and forecasts.
- Provide financial guidance in the decision-making process through the provision of risk-adjusted financial information & analysis.
- Focused on continuous improvement and development.
- Support in development of target setting and performance management mechanisms.
Catalyst
- Acts as a role model to champion change across the organization
- Acts as a catalyst in driving forward initiatives critical to delivering goals and targets
- Provides leading edge tactical & analytical thinking in area of expertise
Steward
- Support the finance function in protecting the assets of the company and in ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Provision of quality information and analysis of key financial data.
- Ensure local policies and procedures are defined and implemented
Operator
- Support effective financial planning & analysis
- Co-ordinates the overall service our customer receives. Define, meet with and review KPI results with Leadership
- Provide business expertise into local finance processes
Requirements:
- A University Degree in Accounting, Business with accounting designation
- 5 or more years of experience
- Experience with working in a manufacturing industry
- Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and provide follow up
- A strategic thinker with a strong attention to detail
- Advanced excel skills
- Experience with SAP an asset
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and variance analysis
- Above average analytical and technical skills
- Excellent decision-making skills, including information gathering and problem solving
- Demonstrated focus on results and business/process improvements
- Proven ability to set and achieve objectives
