Job Description:

3M is seeking a registered/licensed Health care practitioner for its Canadian Scientific Affairs and Education team. The successful candidate will make an impact through business results, interactions, leadership, and training effectiveness.

 

Main Responsibilities:

To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications

Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 30% of the time, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.

 

Relocation: Not authorized

  • Provide professional service support to customers, distributors, and sales employees on a variety of issues related to new and existing products. 
  • Identify, develop, engage, and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), professional associations, regulatory agencies, customers, and/or universities.  Establish and cultivate an extensive network to act as a local advocate for 3M products and solutions
  • Oversee the administration of the training and education programs (costs, budgets, timetables, training delivery, results, and effectiveness).
  • Recommend and coordinate appropriate training programs, and depending on needs, facilitate and/or lead training of other stakeholders internally (marketers, new employees, business leaders) or externally (distributors, customers, Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), professional associations, regulatory agencies, universities). 
  • Master of Nursing or Science or other closely related field of study (ie: Infection Prevention)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Medical field ie: Registered Nurse
  • 5 years clinical experience (change management, professional practice, policy, wound care, vascular access, operating room, infection control, skin integrity, etc)
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills with the ability to write, edit and publish in journalistic, research oriented and marketing styles
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to find solutions for customer concerns
  • Ability to present to large audiences with varying backgrounds
  • Strong history of engaging and motivating teams
  • Excellent computer proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • French language is an asset, but not required
