Join our exceptional team! We are currently seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to join our team at Canada Tubeform, a London Ontario Automotive Tier 2 manufacturing facility.  We are a progressive, growing Canadian based manufacturing business focused on the production of high-volume tubular steel components and assemblies for the automotive industry and have been in business since 2001 as a privately-owned company.  Canada Tubeform operates with advanced technology for stamping and fabrication utilizing a wide scope of processes producing high quality standards as a supplier of choice.

The Engineering and Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods, to run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total engineering requirements, preventative maintenance, plant optimization, maintenance reliability, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical and robotic equipment (including software programming).  Responsibility includes leading a maintenance team and engineering support to the best performance possible utilizing leadership strategies to accomplish team and company objectives.
Supports production/engineering/maintenance and performs other duties as assigned (see job description).

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the automotive industry preferably in an engineering and/or research and development/prototype technical role
  • P.Eng. or Certified CET, or Skilled Trade Certificate supplemented by extensive experience in the areas of hydraulics, robotics, equipment maintenance, welding, automation and CNC Bending.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years hands on experience with CAD/Design software related to tooling/equipment design
  • Industrial Management certification preferred; leadership experience or project leadership considered
  • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong-hands on mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of basic machining and tubular forming technologies
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with quality assurance systems/ IATF preferred
  • High energy level and well-developed sense of urgency
