Industrial Electrician & Controls Technician
Join our team! We are currently seeking an Industrial Electrician & Controls Technician to join our dynamic team at Canada Tubeform, a London Ontario Automotive Tier 2 manufacturing facility. We are a progressive, growing Canadian based manufacturing business focused on the production of high-volume tubular steel components and assemblies for the automotive industry and has been in business since 2001 as a privately-owned company. Canada Tubeform operates with advanced technology for stamping and fabrication utilizing a wide scope of processes producing to high quality standards as a supplier of choice.
Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, the Industrial Electrician & Controls Technician performs both electrical and controls applications to perform maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment to support efficient production operations.

Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, the Industrial Electrician & Controls Technician performs both electrical and controls applications to perform maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment to support efficient production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing equipment maintenance to ensure production targets and requirements are met. This includes both unplanned and planned maintenance activities.
- Ensures that production equipment is maintained to produce product to the required quality specifications.
- Communicates all maintenance and quality related requirements to the appropriate Canada Tubeform departments and personnel.
- Contributes to a continuous improvement philosophy on plant wide systems.
- Responsible for maintaining and tracking plant wide maintenance tools.
- Installation and troubleshooting of industrial networks, switches and associated hardware.
- Performs other related duties on special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- An Ontario trades Certificate of Qualification or a registered apprenticeship as an Industrial Electrician 442A
- Additional courses and/or experience in hydraulics, quality assurance an asset
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, including electrical and PLC programming experience
- Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with extensive knowledge of basic machining and tubular forming technologies.
- Computer literacy and a familiarity with quality assurance systems
- High energy and a well-developed sense of urgency
- Ability to work a two-shift rotational schedule including days (Monday to Friday 8 hour shifts) and afternoons (Monday to Thursday 10 hour shifts) and overtime as required with reasonable work-life balance. Open to requests for straight afternoon shift.
