ROLE: Cost Analyst

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations Finance

RESPONSIBILITIES

Owning of BOM data and process in ERP system

  • Managing BOM process across functions
  • Creating new BOMs
  • Creating new item numbers
  • Maintaining and updating current BOM/item data

Assisting in monthly/quarterly financial reporting cycles

  • Assisting in monthly Health Canada & CRA inventory reporting
  • Preparing monthly waste, inventory, and destruction entries
  • Assisting in publishing of Net Revenue Report

Preparing monthly data for Operations Finance analysis

  • Preparing and ensuring accuracy on waste variance report
  • Owning raw and packaging material cost structure and analyzing changes
  • Preparing & analyzing production costs vs standard costs
  • Other supporting tasks as needed for the F&A team as well as Operations Finance team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree accounting and finance, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a supply chain and operations, inventory management or similar role required.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, ERP software and data entry techniques.
  • An analytical mind with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and focus on working with cross-functional teams.
  • A strong sense of personal integrity and confidentiality.
  • KPI reporting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of cannabis and consumer good product industry is an asset.
  • Multitasking capabilities is a must.
