Production Team – Sewer

Carmina de Young Fashion Designs Inc. is seeking full time production team members to join our growing company in London, Ontario.

Overview
Carmina de Young Fashion is expanding their business to include production of medical gowns. The COVID-19 pandemic has created a need for personal protective equipment. We currently have significant orders for medical gowns and this demand is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. This is in addition to our line of high quality women’s garments which includes tops, dresses, jackets, coats, pants and skirts.

Production Team – Sewer

DUTIES:

• Sewing medical gowns
• Pressing and finishing garments
• Operate different types of sewing equipment based on skill level
• Follow all safety standards set out by the company

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:

• A minimum of 5 years sewing experience in an industrial setting is preferred
• Experience operating a Serger, Single Needle, and Collaret sewing machines
• Knowledge and confidence working with various fabrics
• Understanding of patterns and sewing practices
• Excellent organizational skills; able to prioritize and organize tasks efficiently
• Strong team player with high personal performance objectives
• Willingness to bring your own expertise to the table
• Highly detail-oriented
• Adhering to our quality standards
• Demonstrates high level of quality work and attendance

Production Team – General Team Member

DUTIES:

• Pressing garments
• Trimming
• Packaging
• Light cleaning
• Inventory management
• Other duties as required

HOURS:
Production team members will be scheduled to work in accordance with our production calendar.
