Production Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a leadership position, which supervises all aspects of the production of automotive parts (Quality, Maintenance, etc).

Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and schedule activities of the Production Associates.
• Contribute to the establishment of improved methods to meet work schedules.
• Prepare production and other reports as required.
• Keep attendance reports and timesheets updated daily.
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• Ensure completion of proper training for Associates in their required job duties, work instructions, safety procedures, and ensure that Associates comply with company policies and procedures.
• Report accurate and timely information to the Production Manager, and or department heads.
• Provide input and assist in developing the elimination of waste and spoilage through Kaizen, 5’s and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Responsible for safety and good housekeeping in the various workstations.
• Perform any other task as required by your Manager from time to time.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary education in a related field and/or three or more years’ experience as a Production Supervisor.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001(responsibilities, processes, etc)
• Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Sodecia policies and standards for safe work
• Must be familiar with computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to work flexible hours from time to time to meet internal/external customer requirements.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in Quality, Program Launch and Supervisory requirements within stamping/assembly environment
• Completion of Quality related courses and/or internal auditing is a definite asset.
• Excellent attendance record required and proven performance record
• Previous experience related to the specifics of the present posting including the required skill and ability

Salary: $60,000.00-$62,500.00 per year
