We are hiring Strategic Sourcing Specialists in our St. Thomas, ON location!

Masco Canada is recruiting a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Sourcing Team! In this role, you will lead the day-to-day strategic sourcing, pricing and supplier relationship management of Plumbing and Bathing businesses, whilst ensuring the quality of products and services into the business is led effectively, efficiently and at the lowest possible cost.

What You Will Do:

• Lead product and supplier sourcing strategy through supplier sourcing optimization of risks and leverage.

• Responsible for assigned category performance in terms of total cost, quality and services.

• Sourcing responsibilities include focus on price, contract/T&C negotiations, supply sustainability, and preparation of future sourcing challenges

• Actively role out and identify the cost saving opportunities, work closely with Engineering executing VE, for direct and indirect costs.

• Participate and Run cross-functional activities as sourcing lead

• Provide one-stop sourcing solution - OEM, ODM, new technology, innovation

• Own the supplier performance by using supplier score card and performance management tools. Lead the corrective action meeting with suppliers until actions have been completed.

• Perform new and existing supplier assessments with Corporate Audit teams.

• Ensuring governance and customer specific compliances are core function of supply base. Ensure no risk to product quality, supply and overall liability.

• Understand and analyse market intelligence/ conditions to determine efficient leverage for Masco.

• Establish partnership and positive relationship with internal and external (Suppliers)

• Travel is required for maintaining close management and relationship with suppliers

Who You Are:

• At least 5 years relevant working experience in buying office/trading/manufacturing industries

• Capable to work independently, willing take ownership, creative and think out of the box mentalities

• Strong understanding and experience with Total Cost of Ownership.

• Experience on Strategic Sourcing practices and initiations

• Experience on Mechanical and Electrical product and their development, an asset

• Experience and have knowhow using ERP, MRP, Oracle, SAP, Smartsheet, an asset

• Come with strong sourcing and business management networks will be considered in priority

• Excellent digital literacy (Office – Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Community College Diploma or University Degree, Preferably in Business Management or related field
