We are Hiring a Commercial Product Manager!

The Commercial Product Manager is responsible for the development and execution of both short and long term product plans managing the product lifecycle process with input from the New Product Development Team as it applies to ideation, R&D, Stage Gate project management, product launch, maintenance and retirement. The Commercial Product Manager is also responsible for ensuring the product portfolio delivers planned sales and brand objectives.   

 

What You Will Do:

 

New Product Development and Strategy 

  • Participate in product roadmap development and execution for the North American market  

  • Support StageGate process through Gate document preparation and Gate review meetings including scorecard analysis of actual new product sales versus business case forecast 

  • Participating member of monthly Commercial Rep Council meeting 

  • Participating member of Commercial Product Steering Committee  

 

Existing Product Management 

  • Product subject matter expert supporting value engineering initiatives, customer support / quality issues, purchasing obsolescence requests 

  • Maintain competitive information in product continuum and consistent analysis of existing product mix. Primary resource for competitive product knowledge 

  • Manage product lifecycle (obsolescence reviews, sales performance, pricing strategy) 

  • Accountable for preparation of month-end dashboards, portfolio playbooks 

  • Timely review of new product specials, product re-activation and product change requests 

  • Recommend product enhancements for increased sales and operating income 

  • Participate in the development of the Commercial pricing strategy 

  • Communicate product development/launch plans to brand/channel departments 

  • Create product information sheet files for new products, revisions and/or obsolescences 

  • Assist Brand with product and pricing information for Commercial Marketing collateral Proof-reading. Product content verification only in Canada and product content details for DFC 

  • Auditing of product information on specification sheets and website properties 

  • Assist DFC & Canadian Sales with occasional travel throughout North America providing product training, portfolio information and product launch updates 

  • Assist in the development of training tools for internal and external audiences 

  • Provide internal training support for Sales, Customer Service and Marketing 

  • Answer product related questions for internal and external audience 

 

 

What You Will Bring:

  • 3-5 years of Commercial plumbing product and/or market experience 

  • 3-5 years of Product Management experience, preferably in the plumbing industry 

  • Solid understanding of sales and marketing strategies 

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in group and individual settings  

  • Advanced Excel and Cognos skills. Experience in JDE, SAP, StageGate, Smartsheet an asset 

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently 

  • Occasional travel required

Hiring Range: $62,300.00 - $97,900.00

 

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
