Manufacturing/Assembly Worker
Sciencetech Inc. has been designing and manufacturing optical spectroscopy instruments in Canada since 1985. Our instruments have been used in many applications and fields including medical research, biotechnology, space sciences, analytical chemistry, materials research, pharmacology, aerospace, food sciences, environmental and academic research.
Sciencetech strives to produce high quality instrumentation for our international customers while employing internal policies to keep our employees safe.
We have a need for a hardworking individual to join our Manufacturing team to help us increase our efficiency and production.
Responsibilities:
- Process/fabricate aluminum parts by operating a variety of production equipment (drill press, hand drills, taps, deburing tools, calipers, chop saw, belt sander, hydraulic press)
- Assembly of manufactured components and sub-assemblies by following assembly drawings and schematics
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of product and assembly documentation, including quality alerts
- Other tasks (floor modifications, wiring) as needed
The successful candidate will have:
- Successful completion of Highschool education or equivalent
- Hard working ethic with high attention to detail
- Ability to read and process part and assembly drawings (experience with Solidworks a benefit)
- Excellent communication, computer and problem-solving skills
- Drive and motivation to work independently or as part of a team
Reports to: Manufacturing Coordinator
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
