Summary
Masonite is looking for an Electrical Apprentice who will train with our Maintenance Supervisor to acquire skills and responsibilities in a state-of-the-art wood door manufacturing setting. Previous manufacturing/warehouse experience is considered an asset. This is a full-time opportunity working 40 hours per week on a mutually agreed upon schedule.

Responsibilities
- Equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) –learns from the maintenance supervisor how to PM the equipment.
- Equipment –learns from the maintenance supervisor how to set up the equipment, how to take calls and troubleshoot/repair equipment during shift.
- Assist in various forms of housekeeping duties.
- Filling Out Shift Report – observes and learns from the maintenance supervisor how to fill out reports on specific issues or tasks completed during shift.
- Ordering Parts – observes and learns from the maintenance team how to order parts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good attendance record
- Safety and quality minded
- Must be currently enrolled in skilled trades school
- Must have completed 1st term schooling requirement
- Experience with electrical testing equipment
- Experience using hand-held tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. to 100 in dual lift
- Stand/walk for full work shift
