Buckland is looking for a Warehouse Operator

What you’ll be doing

This position is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, safely drive a forklift and maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment. They will also be responsible for planning and coordination of drivers, pickups, deliveries, track and trace, equipment service/repairs as well as providing excellent customer service to all clients.

You will be responsible for

• Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods.
• Follow safety regulations at all times and warehouse and dock are kept clean.
• Load, unload, pack, unpack materials, and label, sort, and complete required paperwork of incoming and outgoing shipments of Consolidation.
• Relocate items within the warehouse, track inventory of incoming and outgoing items, and create and maintain excel work sheets.
• Operate a forklift, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.
• Coordinate all incoming / outgoing shipments with the dock, drivers, carriers and 3PL providers.
• Assist hour-to-hour, day-to-day dispatching of domestic and cross-border functions including completing all required documentation.
• Strong familiarity with customs procedures related to trucking movements such as clearances and bonds.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Apply your skills with Microsoft utilizing programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
• Demonstrate your meticulous attention to detail by ensuring accuracy and decision making.
• Driven by results working in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a well-organized calendar to balance meetings, tasks, and future initiatives.
• Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and effectively.

What we need from you

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 
• Valid forklift certificate preferable.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience related to warehouse, logistics, operations and cross border shipping. 
• Experience loading and unloading trucks.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
• Valid Passport and ability and desire to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX.
