Warehouse Associate
 
Position Description The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurate receipt, inspection, storage, and picking of materials for jobs. This role supports production schedules while ensuring strict compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and Controlled Goods Program requirements, including traceability, handling, and documentation accuracy.

Job Duties Receiving:
  • Receive incoming materials, components, and hardware in accordance with purchase orders and AS9100 requirements
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, revisions, certifications, and objective evidence of the conformity of the product (i.e., C of C, test records, dimensional reports, special process customer approvals, Mil/component certificates, etc.)
  • Identify, label, and segregate nonconforming or damaged materials per quality procedures
  • Enter receiving transactions accurately into the ERP/MRP system and maintain full material traceability
  • Receive parts into ERP.
  • Label material and store it in proper warehouse location.
  • Communicate any discrepancies with shipment or documentation to the Buyer.

Picking & Material Handling
  • Pick materials accurately to work orders, kits, or production schedules
  • Verify part numbers, revisions, lot numbers, and quantities prior to issue
  • Maintain FIFO, lot control, and traceability as required by AS9100
  • Deliver materials to production in a timely and organized manner
  • Use material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, carts) safely and correctly

Inventory & Organization
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and perform cycle counts as assigned
  • Assist with inventory investigations and root cause analysis for discrepancies
  • Ensure warehouse areas are clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards
  • Scan the completed document package.

Quality, Compliance & Documentation
  • Follow all documented procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits (ISO/AS9100) as required
  • Report process issues, shortages, or nonconformances to supervision
Qualifications
  • Post secondary diploma in a related field preferred.
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 / AS9100 or regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the Controlled Goods Clearance in accordance with DAVWIRE’s Security Plan.
Skills & Experience
  • 1–3 years of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, aerospace and defence industry an asset
  • Experience with receiving, picking, and inventory control an asset
  • Familiarity with varied warehouse machinery, like pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to read and understand part numbers, drawings, and work orders
  • Basic computer and ERP/MRP system proficiency, including MS365
  • Strong knowledge of WHMIS and other Health and Safety systems.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Shift Day shift, Mon-Thurs: 7am-430pm, Fri: 7-11am, overtime as required
