Position Title: ICT Technician

Department: Information, Communications & Technology
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week working onsite 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Summary The ICT Technician provides comprehensive technical support and contributes to the reliable operation and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including end-user technology, network systems, structured cabling, IT/OT environments, cybersecurity, hardware, software, and manufacturing systems. Reporting to the ICT Manager, this role liaises with all internal departments to keep IT systems running smoothly across the Huron Park plant.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
?Provide technical support using ticketing/help-desk systems, ensuring incidents and service requests are accurately documented and resolved in a timely manner.
?
Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, including user and computer accounts, security groups, permissions, and Group Policy.
?Perform IT onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup, equipment deployment, access management, and equipment recovery.
?Conduct IT training and orientation sessions for end users.
?Provide support for Windows 10/11 operating systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
?Demonstrate knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
?Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, storage systems, backup solutions, switches, wireless access points, and other IT infrastructure.
?Demonstrate strong knowledge of structured cabling, including patch panels, network racks, cable termination, labeling, testing, cable management, and network patching.
?Manage IT assets and equipment, including hardware deployment, software installation, endpoint configuration, inventory management, and lifecycle tracking.
?Apply cybersecurity best practices, including endpoint security, multi-factor authentication (MFA), access control, password management, and organizational security policies.
?Provide support for backup, server, storage, and virtualization technologies.
?Coordinate and perform timely repairs and maintenance of IT equipment covered under third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
?Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot printers, barcode/label printers, scanners, and other specialized business equipment.

Required Qualifications
?Currently enrolled in, or has completed, a post-secondary education program (Bachelor's level).
?1–3 years of work experience.
?Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
?Experience in IT Support / as an ICT Technician.
?Knowledge of backup, server, storage, and virtualization technologies.
?Knowledge of industrial IT/OT systems.
