Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Engineer

Arva Industries, located in St. Thomas, Ontario is offering an excellent opportunity for a Junior/Intermediate Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will work within a team to execute the design and analysis of vehicle structures, as well as sub systems on mobile equipment, primarily cranes and trains, which include mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design of mobile equipment including, but not limited to, driveline, suspension, steering, and braking.
• Design steel structures and conduct stress analysis as required.
• Detail design of mechanical systems in SolidWorks.
• Coordinate and be responsible for mechanical engineering drawings and specifications, Project Managing and/or working within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Investigate, respond, and implement corrective action to Production, supplier, and field issues.
• Develop plans and estimates for future projects (ROMs, BOEs, project plans and informal estimates)

Skills:

• Advanced understanding of steel structure design, mobile machinery experience preferred.
• Strong fundamental understanding of mechanical systems, and their related control systems.
• Hydraulics understanding is required, but expertise is preferred.
• Driveline experience is an asset.
• Strong project management skills to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
• SolidWorks is preferred, but not mandatory.

Remuneration:

• In this full-time role, your starting remuneration will be based on your experience, skill and abilities as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
