What You Will Do:

As the Manager, Operations - Bathing you will play a key role in leading daily manufacturing activities within the bathing operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently met. Reporting to the Director, Manufacturing, this role provides strategic direction to the production team while driving operational excellence through Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Acting as a role model for organizational culture, the Manager, Operations - Bathing embodies and promotes Masco Canada’s values, fostering a high-performance, continuous improvement mindset, removing obstacles and barriers by encouraging collaboration and cross-functional teamwork and creating an engaged workforce where every team member is valued.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead and coordinate the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing plan, directing and advising Production Supervisors (Junior Area Managers, Area Managers, and Senior Area Managers) to meet production goals.
• Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and fostering a clean, organized work environment through 5S methodology.
• Optimize workforce planning by scheduling and assigning personnel to meet Schedule Attainment and Past Due Targets, aligning with customer demand and business priorities.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing, MOS tools, and problem-solving techniques to drive operational improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Monitor daily performance metrics, proactively addressing issues to ensure continuous operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide leadership in continuous improvement initiatives, facilitating cross-functional collaboration to implement process enhancements and integrate new products.
• Ensure compliance with Masco’s internal control procedures, labour agreements, and company policies while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop, mentor, and coach direct reports and frontline leaders, ensuring performance feedback, succession planning, and leadership growth.
• Partner with HR to manage labour-related matters and maintain effective employee relations.
• Exhibit sound judgment, making timely and strategic decisions to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

What will you bring:

• Proven success record of working in a similar role or as a Plant Manager is an asset
• A university degree or college diploma in engineering, business management in Industrial Management or Business is preferred
• Industrial Management Certificate or equivalent
• O.S.S.D or equivalent
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing leadership roles with a strong focus on operational excellence
• 3-5 years of experience in a management position within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
• A successful record of working in a unionized environment is required
• Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement (CI), 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and other Lean tools
• Proficiency in using and applying Microsoft Office applications;
• Experience with JDE or other ERP systems
