We are looking for a shipping and Receiving Coordinator with excellent Customs Specialist Skills. Someone that will be able to look after our cross boarder shipments and ITAR requirements. You knowledge of logistics planning along with attention to detail will help you in maintaining shipping and receiving activities supporting the movement of shipments. Maintenance of all files and records concerning material movements, packing slips, bills of ladings, shipping direction requests (SDR’s), commercial invoices and customs documentation will be part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Accuracy of all cross boarder Shipments, documentation and submissions for carriers, customs brokers
  • Ensure accuracy of paper work on all shipment platforms
  • Verify packing slips and physical checks of goods received when applicable
  • Consult with purchasing regarding any receiving discrepancies
  • Timely & accurate booking of carriers, and accuracy of supporting documentation
  • Assists materials group where needed
  • Performs miscellaneous duties and carries out projects  as assigned outside of this scope

Requirements:

  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) certification an asset
  • Working knowledge of cross boarder shipments and ITAR compliance
  • Working knowledge of ACE, and CERS Portals
  • Logistics and warehousing experience
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Detail and accuracy orientated
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good problem solving/decision making skills
  • Ability to work within a stressful environment at times
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Wants growth, goal oriented, looks for continuous improvements
  • Knowledge of defence industry considered an asset
  • Ability to work additional ours depending on business needs
