Kaizen Support Specialist
 

Summary:
Arvin Sango, Inc. is looking for an experienced and proactive Kaizen Support Specialist to lead hands-on Kaizen activities using the Toyota Production System (TPS). This role requires a practical approach to identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, reducing costs and waste, and training team members in Kaizen and TPS principles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively lead and execute Kaizen activities on the shop floor, directly engaging with team members and processes.
  • Train and coach others in Kaizen and TPS methodologies through hands-on demonstrations and practical application.
  • Implement and sustain TPS initiatives such as Value Stream Mapping, Kanban systems, Rapid Improvement events, and the 5S program through active participation and leadership.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments to identify and solve process inefficiencies and remove waste through direct involvement.
  • Conduct practical, hands-on Toyota Production System training sessions (TPS Basics & 3-Sheet Standard Work).
  • Proactively identify inefficiencies in systems, lines, and equipment, and implement immediate and effective solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing quality standards by working hands-on with the Quality department to prevent repeat issues and understand root causes.
  • Document Kaizen initiatives with detailed flow charts, operator instructions, PFMEAs, and changeover procedures, ensuring practical application and adherence.
  • Lead new project implementations and future business planning through direct involvement and oversight of change management processes.
  • Drive and lead TPS initiatives from the ground up, ensuring hands-on engagement and successful execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, with a focus on hands-on involvement and practical solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated, open-minded, and positive attitude with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and activities through direct involvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable, practical insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and AS400.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on practical application and hands-on training.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business, or engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
