Project Coordinator

Key focus:
Support account managers and project leaders internally for new project and program launches to meet customer expectations and deliverables in cooperation with headquarters. Coordinate internal stakeholders to execute assigned project tasks for new business through to successful completion and proper hand off to production operations.
We require a Project Coordinator who will be responsible for:
- Internal coordination of Project/Program launch of new business awarded to deliver new contracts into production successfully
- Support account managers’/project leaders to organize internal departments regarding project launch
- Support project leaders in establishing baselines/milestones and timing
- Coordinate new production project transfers to London facility from European headquarters
- Assist in coordination of part supply during initial product launch in Europe and subsequent production transfer to North America, where applicable, in coordination with the Operations department
- Continuous improvement input of the APQP process including the tool transfer phase
- Coordinate internal resources to support the installation and commissioning of new equipment in the London facility as it pertains to new production projects
- Support regulatory audits as required
- Support other company and strategic projects as assigned
- Communicates effectively through all levels of the organization
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager
- Support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained
Do you have?
- College diploma required, certificate in project management is an asset
- Minimum two to three (2-3) years’ experience in production, processing or tooling for plastics or rubber in technical and project coordinator roles
- Understanding of health and safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Oriented to a manufacturing organization
Successful candidate will also have:
- Project management and communication skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Understanding of LSR and plastic injection molding process and tool design
- Understanding of SQE tools (8D, FMEA, DFMEA, DOE, APQP, DVP&R, DFMA etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
