How can you make a greater impact?

You'll invest the majority of your time in three key areas:  

• Reviewing and analyzing quality assurance records

• Monitoring quality and food safety programs

• Contributing to our culture of continual improvement

Specifically, you will: 

• Review daily quality assurance records for packaging operation, Box Documents, mixing program set up, and maintenance

• Coordination of incoming product analysis and release program

• Monitor critical control points and adherence to deviation procedures

• Perform microbial testing and documentation (Environmental, Air, Product testing)

• Manage paperless program, analysis of data, reports, and policies pertaining to quality and production activities, and provide recommendations for action plans;

• Monitor SPC programs in packaging

• Lead the development and audits for Glass Registry, complete related follow up as required

• Support the Food Safety committee by conducting internal audits and drive change through Food Safety culture contributions

• Assist in  HACCP meetings to review and update HACCP plans

• Actively engage with employees, partner with supervisors and managers to develop a solid rapport through regular plant tours promoting all aspects of safety; monitor employee hygiene in accordance with company guidelines

• Inspire and influence teams as it relates to food safety, support employee education and make recommendations for continual improvement

You will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and join a team that validates the effectiveness of our food safety and quality systems to continuously improve. 

You will bring the following to the business:

• Proficient in Google Workspace and production systems 

• Able to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities, and work independently

• Familiar with Q.A. concepts (HACCP, SPC, FSMA) and GMP protocols

• 2-4 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting; food experience preferred

• A diploma or certificate in a science discipline or related experience
