As an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer for High Park Company, you will perform an important engineering and operations role. You will help us design and maintain a manufacturing environment that will meet or exceed product throughput and quality expectations. Driving for continuous improvement, you will make our cannabis packaging and processing plant ever more efficient. In this role you will be on the floor, observing people and manufacturing processes to make continuous improvements. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Plant layout and design
  • Maximize manufacturing line up time. Requires hands-on approach to process introduction and maintenance.
  • Study time, methods, and speed involved in manufacturing cannabis products to establish standard workflow rate and improve efficiency.
  • Examine material flow and processes; design and propose improvements to optimize supply.
  • Create process flow charts
  • Coordinate the purchase of special equipment, materials, or parts and ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Aid and report on manufacturing line capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
  • Work with operations management, engineering, and quality assurance to develop work process and standard operating procedures.
  • Create and maintain engineering procedures and detailed work instructions, review SOP’s, reference documents, forms for accuracy.
  • Maintaining records and engineering library documents.
  • Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Participate in qualification of new equipment and processes.
  • Work with facilities engineering to maintain critical equipment.
  • Reporting KPI’s, analyze date in ERP system.

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Professional Engineering designation is preferred.
  • 5+ years engineering experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong logical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint and Project, and MRP systems (preferred).
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
