About the Role:

 

In this role, this person will perform the electrical wiring/assembly and periodic functional testing in order to meet customer quality and delivery expectations. They will read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications to build various electrical control panels. They will also complete functional inspection of all assemblies which includes: wire power and control connections, configure customer specific settings, perform diagnostic routines and functional test sequences.

 

This is a fully onsite position at 40 hours per week. The schedule will be 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday-Friday with no weekends!

 

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Perform assembly activities as outlined in Standard Work Documents.
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Lay out components and wiring electrical panels as per schematics.
  • Complete functional inspection of all assemblies which includes: wire power and control connections, configure customer specific settings, perform diagnostic routines and functional test sequences
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and determine corrective actions
  • Assist in defining test protocols and methods within all areas of manufacturing and their associated hardware/software

 

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Technician Diploma
  • 1-2 years relevant manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams
  • Experience operating/testing control panels (with PLC/embedded controls)
  • Experience with regulatory codes (UL508A, CSA, NEC and CE)
  • Attention to detail
