Job Description:

 

3M is seeking a Plant Financial Analyst, supporting the London, ON Manufacturing site, and other locations. The successful candidate will make an impact by providing insights and establishing predictive analytics of financial performance to stakeholders, working closely with Plant and business teams. This role will be located onsite at the London, ON Manufacturing facility.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Leading plant and business teams through annual forecasting of the Operating Plan for the plant(s) and input to other forecasting processes
  • Providing insights and establish predictive analytics of financial performance to stakeholders to develop and improve upon Plant Financial P&L and Balance Sheet Targets
  • Ensuring compliance with 3M Global Financial Standards (GAAP)
  • Ensuring that current SKUs have appropriate costs during the annual inventory revaluation process
  • Improving ROI for all plant Capital Investments (AFE-Authorization For Expenditures)
  • Possibly support other plants as assigned

 

To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One (1) year of work experience/internship in a Finance or Accounting function

 

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

 

  • Possess an MBA, CMA, or CPA certified
  • Three (3) combined years Finance and/or Accounting experience
  • Demonstrates ability to act as a change agent, influencing those who do not report to you
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with SAP an asset
  • Manufacturing environment experience

 

Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 15% of the time, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.

 

Relocation: May be authorized
