Human Resources Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Manager who shall hold the responsibility of being part of a team that is creating a best-in-class culture. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for directing and managing all HR functions, including establishing and maintaining Policies and Procedures, working alongside departmental managers, forming recruitment plans, and an overall Human Resouces strategy. 

This role will support our London, Ontario facility, and will report to the Chief Financial Officer. 

SHIFT STRUCTURE

This role will primarily work Monday to Friday, day shift, however, work outside of standard working hours is required as needed, in order to effectively support the location's 24/7 operation. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER

  • Partner with the leadership team in building a culture that promotes the Aspire Values.

  • Meet regularly with the Executive Team to provide guidance, support, and engagement initiatives.

  • Meet regularly with employees and the leadership team.

  • Serve as a consultant with other managers, advising on human resources issues.

  • Partner with Operations to define, measure, analyze, and optimize current administrative processes and reporting requirements.

  • Oversee payroll, performance management, training, and employee relations. 

  • Lead regular employee review process including stay discussions, probationary, and yearly review process.

  • Mediate disputes, staffing issues, and direct disciplinary procedures. 

  • Oversee the organization’s HRIS platform, recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes, ensuring established FTE is met at all times. 

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the Human Resources department. 

  • Budgeting and forecasting activities for the Human Resources department.

  • Proactively identify gaps, and provide solutions to the Senior Leadership team. 

  • Promote a Health and Safety, Food Safety, and GMP Culture by adhering to company standards at all times. 

  • Other related duties and required or assigned.

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • CHRP/CHRL designation is an asset.

  • 5 to 7 years of progressive work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of Human Resouces management.

  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and G-Suite.

  • Good project management skills and the ability to motivate teams. 

  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make the necessary decisions to move forward with the work at hand. 

  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently. 

  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts. 

  • Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines. 

  • Strong attention to detail in all areas of work.
