Specialist, Product Capability Team


Key Job Elements:

  • Provide technical assistance and diagnostic guidance for fleet support and depot upgrade programs
  • Provide on-site technical and maintenance support to field personnel and vehicles as required
  • Maintain vehicle information tracking requirements within the applicable databases for both GDLS-C and customer requirements
  • Conduct field data analyses to identify trends and technical issues and develop recommended solutions
  • Review and/or develop routings, maintenance instructions, Service Bulletins/Service Directives, Retrofit as required
  • Analyze failure analysis reports on items under test or evaluation
  • Analyze site reports and support issue resolution if required
  • Maintain vehicle history reports
  • Identify technical manual discrepancies and follow up with Engineering
  • As required attend design review meetings
  • Support Reliability, Availability, Maintainability Demonstration (RAMD) testing
  • Provide ongoing support, as required, to Training, PHS&T, Special Tools & Test Equipment and Technical Support functional teams
  • Liaise with Engineering and Production on potential vehicle problems

Position Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • College diploma , licensed Truck/Coach or Automotive Technician, or Military equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities on multiple LAV (Gen II / Gen III) and/or RG31 platforms
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and ECR/SCR/CCR
  • Proven knowledge of Oracle, DMIS, TeamCenter, and TipQA
  • Understanding of SOWs and government contracts
  • Strong administrative, organizational, analytical and decision making skills
  • Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
  • Must hold or be able to obtain Canada Secret Level II Security Clearance and CUI clearance
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Must be able to meet Anthropometrical Size Restrictions for confined workspace
  • Proven ability to perform well in a team based environment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple activities under rigid time constraints and effectively interact with internal and external customers
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for DZ license

               

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge in military logistic support concepts and doctrine
  • Background in LAV / RG product knowledge
  • PMP certification
