POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Logistic Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the logistics process, from procurement to distribution. Your primary focus will be to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination between various departments involved in the supply chain. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to meet operational goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Involving development and implementation of logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and meet company objectives.

2. Oversee the entire supply chain process, including transportation and distribution, inbound and outbound.

3. Conduct regular audits of logistics processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

4. Train and mentor junior logistic coordinators, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.

5. Collaborate with the IT department to identify and implement technology solutions, such as transportation management systems (TMS) or warehouse management systems (WMS), to streamline logistics operations.

6. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in logistics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

 

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES / CORE BEHAVIOURS

1. Involving manage and negotiate contracts with external logistics service providers, including freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouses, to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation and warehousing solutions.

2. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate logistics performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, planning, production, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of logistics activities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

-Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

- Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics operations, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.

- Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain concepts, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.

- Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.

- Proficient in using logistics software and technology, such as TMS, WMS, or ERP systems.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.

- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
