The Network Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining network for our 8000+ global user community spread across the globe. This position is also responsible in aligning with our parent organization’s (Danaher Corporation) network team in leading Videojet in all corporate network initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you would need to:

  • Analyze logs of Cisco routers & switches, Cisco ASA, Palo alto firewalls and Cisco wireless LAN controllers, Cisco Identity Services Engine
  • Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software, and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity.
  • Working globally across cross departments (R&D, Digital Marketing, Operations, etc.) to provide Network support and remediation solutions regularly
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies.
  • Be able to work on weekends and to work in odd hours on short notice as and when required.
  • Maintain documentation and support contracts

 

What is required for the role:

  • 8 - 10 years’ experience in network operation, management, and support
  • BS in Information Systems or related technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic scripting knowledge, Log reading experience such as Splunk Logs, ASA & Palo Alto firewall logs, Infoblox DNS logs, etc.
  • Experience in Jira ticketing system and global user interactions
  • Design, implement, deploy and troubleshoot network infrastructure mainly Cisco and Palo alto
  • In-depth experience with BGP and OSPF, redistribution, prefix-lists
  • At least 3 years of experience with advanced configuration of Palo Alto firewalls is a MUST.
  • In-depth experience in working with IPsec VPNs.
  • Experience in AWS networking.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Juniper switches will be an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal/verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management, organizational, and priority setting skills
  • CCNP certification will be an added advantage

 

Job Conditions

  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel depending on projects. (typical 20%)
  • Able to work in data centers or small computer rooms.
  • Able to lift 50lbs/23kg unassisted.
