Retail Channel Specialist

 

We are hiring a dynamic Retail Channel Specialist in our St. Thomas, ON OR Mississauga, ON location!

 

The Retail Channel Specialist will help Masco Canada to elevate our new dedicated field representation program to its fullest potential, in addition to playing a key role in helping to drive customer-centricity and process improvement within our Retail channel. In this role, you will help activate and amplify leading brands like Delta Faucet, Mirolin, Master Plumber and BrassCraft within Canada’s top retailers.

By centrally developing and coordinating the communications, training and implementation plans for new programs, product launches and promotions, and by acting as a key liaison between retailers, field reps and Masco Canada, you will help to increase customer satisfaction and engagement, while growing our brand advocacy and sell-through results!

You will help administer current customer-facing and internal sales operations programs and processes while working to define and refine these processes to make our efforts more consistent and efficient.

You will have passion for Retail marketing and channel development, and will be very organized, customer-focused, and service-oriented. The Retail Channel Specialist will have a strong drive for both generating business growth and developing and implementing process and merchandising improvements within the Retail sales channel.

  • Develop communication, training, and sales support tools for Field Representatives to drive the successful field implementation of product launches, programs and promotions across all retailers. Assist MSS in the management and tracking of initiative rollouts.

  • Act as key MCL liaison for MSS Field Representatives, developing and implementing National initiatives such as ongoing product training programs, resets/conversions and merchandising executions, warranty programs, customer surveys, market intelligence projects, etc

  • Support MSS and independent/regional dealer requests for Regional or Store-Specific promotional or project pricing, resets/conversions/buybacks, displays, planograms, product data/image requirements, sophisticated Customer Service inquiries, etc

  • Work with cross-functional internal and external teams to develop and maintain tools to connect with and support individual dealers/stores, including customer email databases, inbound communication routing tools, the Masco Canada Advantage portal, customer-specific portals, and systems, etc

  • Develop and execute an ongoing communications program to keep retailers advised about programs, product launches, promotions, and operational updates.

  • Handle all order forms, pricing forms, customer product listings/catalogs, product/order communications and other cross-retailer tools and communications

  • Compile and maintain a complete promotional calendar/tracker and product launch calendar for all key retailers

  • Establish systems and targets for supervising sales sample, display and warranty spends specific to customers/field rep territories

  • Coordinate the logistics and planning for customer-specific events and shows

  • Coordinate the setup, procurement and creation of Displays and Merchandising tools for the Retail channel, including both Temporary and permanent display executions, in conjunction with the Marketing Team.

  • Coordinate Operational reporting for customer-specific requests regarding stock status and availability, fill rate challenges etc (including Walmart weekly reporting)

  • Participate in and initiate any cross-functional Operational RCCMs/Kaizens etc to help improve performance Key Performance Indicators.

  • Refine and coordinate processes for tracking/reporting on Fines, Business Case Approvals, non-contractual customer agreements, UCC/VFPF Funding, and other internal metrics and processes

  • Lead cross-functional recurring meeting cadences and schedules for Retail and E-Comm Sales teams, tracking resultant actions and the completion of same

  • 3+ years prior experience in a Channel Marketing, Sales, or Sales Operations role

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on marketing, advertising or business preferred; or equivalent experience

  • Strong customer centricity and passion for growth

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power point

  • Experience with JDE ERP, Cognos Analytics, Salesforce, Smartsheet or similar programs

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Project management experience working on multiple concurrent projects with fixed timelines

  • Ability to navigate data and use analytics to make decisions

  • Merchandising experience, including vendor management

  • Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset

  • Solid understanding of the Retail channel would be an asset, ideally with a CPG or Home Improvement background
