Senior Financial Analyst
IntroductionThe Senior Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to be part of a fast growing and dynamic team. Position Overview
? In conjunction with the Controller and/or CFO, develop annual financial projections, cost by product projections, and costing and contribution analysis for current and new product lines.
? Present models, projections and analysis to the executive management team that concisely identifies any issues or gaps and proposes potential solutions
? Assist in the preparation of complex monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules
? Development and maintain monthly budgets and variance analysis and provide an interpretation of the business drivers and risks
? Communicate and coordinate with procurement, inventory, operations and sales to ensure accuracy with respect to the accounting system
? Critically assess financial records and identify potential issues or problems. Collaborate with other members of the management team to identify solutions
? Review and research market data to identify potential market trends and gaps for new products and potentially obsolete products due to changes in market conditions.
? Perform reconciliation and analysis of amounts owed and payable by various suppliers and customers of the Company
? Maintain an ongoing detailed understanding of the Company’s financial performance and develop and maintain key financial metrics
? Prepare supporting documentation required by other team members (R&D, grants, applications, etc)
? Actively monitor cash flow activities
? Ad-Hoc analysis and special projects as assigned
? Other related duties as assigned by the CEO/CFO
Qualifications
? 2+ years Management accounting/finance experience
? 2+ years experience in a Manufacturing Environment an asset
? Experience working with an ERP platform (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, 365 etc)
? Comfortable working in MS Excel and advanced functionality (VBA)
? Ability to handle competing priorities
? Proven time management skills
? Demonstrated experience with financial modelling, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis
Preferred Skills
? Experience working in, or with, the cannabis industry (or another highly regulated environment)
? Experience working in a high growth B2B Startup
? Base level understanding of Science / Engineering an asset
? Experience building out complex models involving multiple variables
This position requires a valid Driver’s License, a criminal background check, and vehicle travel to Aylmer, Ontario.
