Your daily role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Packaging Supervisor will be involved with the following:

  • Manage daily team member work assignments and attendance;
  • Coach and train to promote safe and effective work practices, issue discipline as required;
  • Ensure Packaging production requirements are met accurately;
  • Actively participate in Health & Safety and Food Safety programs;
  • Relay operational instructions and information to team members;
  • Act as a liaison with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics personnel;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in all aspects of the business;
  • Participate in a variety of meetings and training sessions, conduct training sessions where necessary;
  • Responsible for operational effectiveness in the areas of budgets, labour, and department performance;
  • Promote a culture of Health & Safety, Food Safety, engagement, and inclusivity.

Your profile

The successful candidate will bring the following qualities to the role:

  • Post-secondary education with a minimum of two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with preference given to those with experience in the food industry;
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of OHSA and Food Safety;
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of manufacturing and inventory systems;
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to lead by example and motivate our team members to excel;
  • Must have the ability to analyze and solve problems for continuous process improvements;
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Fast paced, dynamic work environment;
  • Rotating weekly schedule including some weekends and extended hours.
