The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting various HR programs, policies, and initiatives. Working alongside the HR Operations Leader & Business Partner, the HR Coordinator will assist with supporting all aspects of the employee experience, including recruitment and onboarding, compensation and benefits, training, and development, and more. As part of a dynamic Human Resources team, the HR Coordinator will be provided the opportunity to lead and co-lead various projects as we grow our capacity and capabilities.
Here are some of the different activities you’ll be asked to do:
  • Help with the annual HR training, including sharing the updated Policy Manual and training modules, tracking completion, and following up as needed.
  • Assist in planning and preparing HR communications, including emails, posters, and working with the Communications team for TV notices.
  • Schedule annual benefit and retirement sessions.
  • Help with administrative tasks for the annual salary and bonus program, such as preparing letters and spreadsheets.
  • Collect and compile data from various sources for the quarterly metrics report.
  • Contribute to various HR programs/initiatives, such as health and wellness and DEI.
  • Manage the administrative process for resignations and retirements, including documentation, scheduling exit interviews, and coordinating with payroll, IT, etc.
  • Assist the HR Specialist with recruitment efforts, including participation in local job fairs and community events to find new talent.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners like employment agencies and community organizations.
  • Support the HR Operations Leader & Business Partner in providing advice and consulting services to managers and colleagues on employment-related issues.
If you’ve got:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources.
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Proven ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee information.
  • Strong analytical, attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
