Afternoon Shift Production Team Member

Caledon Tubing Production Team Member, St. Marys, Ontario

• Starting rate is $21.40
• Shift Premium

Primary Responsibility:

• To operate all equipment as per Work Instructions safely and responsibly

Tasks:

• Inspect tubing for quality and defects
• Assist Coating Technician as required
• Maintain regular, good throughput
• Complete paperwork completely and accurately
• Operate coiler and tube cutting equipment
• Package as per Final Packaging Matrix
• Inform Team Leader and Quality Control if parts are nonconforming
• Weigh scrap and record scrap data
• Operate all equipment safely and responsibly
• Operate all equipment as per Work Instructions
• Understanding of reactions needed to the process for out of control parameters
• Understanding the effects of non-conforming product and how to react to ensure that these parts are not shipped to the customer
• Housekeeping
• Perform daily Crane inspections and record
• Ensure compliance to IATF 16949
• All other duties as requested by Team Leader

Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED

Skills:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluent verbal/written English skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
• Good computer skills
• Ability to troubleshoot

Experience or Knowledge:

• One year experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in Automotive
• Knowledge of Quality standards - ISO-9001/IATF 16949

Safety:

Under the Occupation Health and Safety Act (OHSA), worker responsibilities include the following:

• Working in compliance with the provisions of the OHSA, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
• Plant floor PPE required
