Engineering Intern
Location: London, Ontario, CAN

We are seeking an intern for our Engineering department. The internship will allow the student to participate in various stages ofmanufacturing, to become familiar with the engineering aspect of aerospace, and also to learn from a testing platform. In general ,the student will contribute in the development of applications on projects for our customers. The student may also be asked to work on internal projects and tools and in some cases, enhance existing applications processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and control non conformances in accordance with the approved procedures
  • Recommend improved inspection procedures and methods that which would improve the quality and economic
  • efficiency of maintenance
  • Design various mechanical parts
  • Conduct testing and analyze results
  • Conduct research on composites for aircrafts
  • Work with project team to create specification requirements, documents, and preliminary drawings
  • Review customer requirements and other project requirements
  • Review specifications for compliance
  • Assist with the communication and coordination of project activities with Engineering Managers and others as
  • needed
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of their work
  • Ensure all quality records, reports and forms are properly executed before approval
  • Accomplish the final release of all parts, assemblies and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been
  • performed, as required
  • Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies
  • Perform such other work as requested

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Pursing a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with the assembly of Diamond products considered an asset
  • Experience in reading and interpreting drawings
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience using AutoCAD, CATIA, Solid Edge considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work effectively
  • Ability to articulate ideas
