Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Perform routine analytical tests on beer through all stages of the brewing process

Perform on-line packaging quality tests for kegs, bottles and cans
-
Perform shelf-life tests on packaged beer
-
Perform tests to evaluate and monitor yeast heath
-
Perform necessary microbiological sampling
-
Participate in sensory evaluation of beer
-
Data analysis of all quality results
-
Identify problem areas and contribute to problem-solving with brewing, packaging and maintenance
Job Qualifications
-
Degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Food Science is required
-
Brewery experience is preferred
-
Food and/or Beverage experience is an asset
-
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
-
Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
-
Sensory training and experience is a plus
-
Strong microbiology skills are desired
-
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Strong organizational skills
