Dessert Holdings is looking for a Setup & Sanitation Supervisor at our London, ON facility to coordinate production startup, shutdowns, changeovers and sanitation.  The hours are 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Sunday to Thursday with occasional flexibility required for Friday and Saturday, depending on production schedule.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and direct a team of approximately 30 staff in Setup and Sanitation
  • Accountable for verifying all setup and sanitation activities.
  • Maintain accurate sanitation documentation and ensure proper completion of Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Coordinate with all staff, contractors and suppliers to properly control and minimize costs while maintaining high Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards at all times.
  • Provide leadership and training to all staff in both departments to achieve their goals.
  • Instruct and ensure compliance of plant employees, outside contractors and visitors in rules and regulations governing Good Manufacturing Practices and BRC procedure and standards.
  • Provide assistance with new product testing when requested by production and R&D.
  • Set a good example with a positive attitude, good listening skills, and a tireless work ethic to build a respectful relationship with employees.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3+ years of experience and knowledge in working with chemicals, CIP and COP procedures on equipment
  • Must have prior supervisory/lead experience with the ability to lead and manage teams
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and manage conflict
  • Strong ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Intermediate computer skills using MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
