Description

Introduction
 Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you are responsible for leading Work in Progress (WIP) inventory management, control of stored inventory and inventory related ERP activities. The successful candidate will focus on continuously improving the internal movement of the materials through various stages of the production process. An understanding of Health Canada and cannabis industry regulations is an asset, but not required. A strong technical background in systems and ERP software is essential.

Position Overview:
·       Supervise a team to coordinate inventory processes and deliver materials. 
·       Manage, monitor and verify the flow of cannabis material via Ample Organics software or other ERP system and lead monthly reporting on cannabis inventory levels as required by government regulations.
·       Maintain communication channels with Planning and Operations teams to ensure inventory needs are aligned with demand. Flag any issues that are identified and develop a solution to the problem at hand.
·       Ensure inventory management and reporting ties in with existing process structure and workflow.
·       Work closely with the Procurement and Operations teams to monitor and maintain accurate component inventory levels. 
·       Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.
·       Provide day-to-day oversight for direct reports in the department. 
  • Actively participate and engage in continuous improvement strategies and cost reduction initiatives.
·       Foster and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment to motivate staff. 
·       Identify, track and report on progress against organizational key performance goals.
·       Provide continuous performance feedback for direct reports through regular one-on-one meetings and/or dept meetings. 
·       Manage the onboarding of new team members (identify training partner, provide training materials, etc). 
·       Other duties as required.

Qualifications: 

·       Good understanding of Inventory Management principles.
·       Post-secondary education required in logistics, inventory management, supply chain, or another closely related field.
·       5+ years’ experience in a related role in a manufacturing-environment.
·       Strong technical skills, and 2+ years’ experience working with cloud-based ERP / inventory control systems.
·       Experience using ERP software.
·       Experience within Cannabis industry is considered an asset.
·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·       Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
·       Strong time management skills including ability to multitask and prioritize.
·       Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word). 
·    Must be an open work permit holder, permanent resident of Canada or Canadian Citizen

Location: Aylmer, Ontario. Role is required to be on site.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS (ON SITE):

This role is performed on site at our production facility in Aylmer, Ontario and Motif provides all required PPE and has continued manufacturing safety protocols: a well-fitted mask must be worn at all times while inside our production areas and staff are to remain 2M+ apart unless otherwise communicated.
