Key focus:

 

To ensure all production processes are followed with high flexibility in reference to the market requirements.

 

 We require a Production Team Leader who will:

 

  • Be responsible for increasing employee retention and professional competence of all employees
  • Operational and administrative production management with focus on post-production
  • Have professional personnel management and development
  • Be the initial contact for the Production Manager, Shift Leaders and other Team Leaders
  • Coordinate material flow and storage management on the shop floor
  • Participate in the Shop Floor meetings at the Team Leader level
  • Coordinate employee meetings at the Shift Leader level
  • Management of operations protocols, KPI's and reports for the production area
  • Provide initial and on-going training and evaluation to assigned personnel related to job duties and performance expectations
  • Participate in the process and workflow development
  • Actively collaborate in projects and continuous improvement processes (CIP)    
  • Monitor the workload (machine allocation list) and the capacity utilization within production and post-production            
  • Manage vacation and absence for OPR team members
  • Troubleshoot production related processes
  • Manage employee performances in the production area
  • Drive accountability within the department to promote maximum team performance
  • Accompany EDID examinations
  • Manage 5S audits in the post-production area
  • Actively collaborate in route cause analyzing activities               
  • Have flexibility to work outside of your normal work hours as needed to support team members and/or area objectives                               
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager     
  • Responsible for communicating safety procedures to employees 
  • Communicates effectively through all levels of the organization
  •  Preparation for internal and external audits       
  • Conduct any work activities according to established work instructions and follow procedures and practices of Starlim North America Corporation                        
  • Support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained                            

 

 Do you have?

 

  • College diploma in Operations Management or a production related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment                    
  • Silicone Injection Molding manufacturing experience preferred                 
  • Material management experience          

 

Successful candidate will also have:

 

  • The ability to operate Engel injection Molding Machines
  • Be able to distinguish between colours
  • Attention to details and be highly organized   
  • Good social skills; willingness to learn, adaptive personality, flexible
  • Basic working knowledge of an ERP system
  • Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal       
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite and the ability to learn new computer skills quickly    
  • The ability to work independently, conceptualize project and manage priorities                  
  • Sound judgment, critical thinking skills and the ability to make difficult, time sensitive decisions 
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal communication skills                
  • Good conflict management skills
  • Strong team building skills with a focus on productivity
  • Fosters positive working relationships
  • Responds proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints and other employee relations matters
  • Root Cause Analysis training
  • Strong Leadership skills; decision making, stress management, delegating, change management and problem solving skills    
  • Good organizational & time management skills
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends if required
  • Professional attitude with customers, employees, and management                                       
  • Positively motivate and engage others and take disciplinary action when necessary
