Senior Systems Administrator
 

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detailed Senior Systems Administrator that will be instrumental in creating, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with all stakeholders, provide excellent internal and external customer service and promote a solutions-based environment. This role is located in London, Ontario and reports to the Plant Manager.

  • How You Will Make Contributions That Drive Us Forward
    • Promote Health and Safety, Food Safety and GMP Culture.
    • Lead as a subject matter expert on all areas within IT, analyze data to reduce waste and inefficiencies, while improving working conditions.
    • Fully setup and manage a brand new server room for Aspire’s manufacturing plant in London, Ontario, including physical installation of rack servers, storage systems, and network equipment.
    • Develop and maintain up-to-date network and system architecture diagrams.
    • Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to ensure IT needs are met.
    • Design and implement network topology for Aspire’s new facility, including but not limited to:
      • Setup and configuration of VLANs, firewall rules, VPNs, wireless networks, backup and recovery policies, and security rules.
      • Set up and manage VMWare ESXi workloads for safety safety and mission critical manufacturing systems.
      • Setup, configuration, and maintenance of SQL databases.
    • Supervise daily operations of network, server, database, and application infrastructure for on-premise and cloud based workloads.
    • Design and carry-out company-wide training on IT systems
    • Develop and implement all IT policies for cybersecurity, incident response, disaster recovery, and more.
    • Seek and lead continuous improvements by ensuring regular inspections, hazard analysis, risk assessments, and audits are conducted.
    • Accountable for all IT budgetary requirements, equipment inventory management, forecasting and auditing.
    • Participate in new hire experience; provide equipment and access, create relevant accounts and training.
    • Implement and report on standards and OKR deliverables and contribute to lessons learned, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.

    What You Bring To The Table
    • 5 or more years experience in a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similarly relevant role.
    • 2 or 4 year degree/diploma with a focus on IT Infrastructure.
    • Detailed knowledge of: VMWare ESXi, Windows Server, Cisco Meraki networking, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and Google Workspace; NetSuite considered an asset.
    • You have a clear focus and understanding of Project Management principles.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to collaborate with and influence others.
