SHIFTS: Day shift – 5 days a week, 8 hours per shift
Weekend availability/ flexible hours needed

Job Responsibilities
- Ensure production efficiencies and schedule attainment are met (Daily/Weekly), and that quality and safety expectations are adhered to
- Manage the development of employees through training, formal & informal feedback and individual performance appraisals
- Ensure effective interaction between packaging department and other internal/external customers
- Ensure efficient operations in the packaging department through the use of the management systems (VPO, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, six-sigma, best practice, etc)
- Involved in the planning, directing and managing of packaging activities in pursuit of Key performance indicators in your area, including but not limited to:
- TRI+cTRI
- Consumer Complaints
- Water Usage
- GLY
- TPE
- PPA
- Responsible for ensuring reliability of equipment through planned and well understood preventative, predictive and continual maintenance.
- Active in coaching and mentoring plant personnel to increase expertise
- Providing support to packaging and quality departments in reducing consumer complaints, quality incidents and hectoliters of non quality
- Set and uphold excellent 5S and sanitation standards
- Professionally manage the relationship with union members
- Follow plant optimization management processes and standards to drive departmental results
- Assurance of equipment reliability; preventative and continual maintenance
- University Degree - Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or Science with a technical background preferred
- 3-5 years of experience production/plant environment experience
- Knowledge of Packaging, Maintenance, Quality controls an asset
- Experience with coaching and training in a unionized environment
- Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical controls and automation systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Sound analytical skills to develop/understand business cases
