Electrician (FME 40161)
Maintenance Services and Utilities

Location: London
Employment Group: Support
Hours:  40 hours per week. 
Shift Rotation: 4 weeks days followed by 2 weeks afternoons
Day Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30. p.m.
Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Friday 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 
Pay Details:  $35.04 per hour
Closing Date:  Open Until Filled

Note:  This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).

Duties:  Under the general direction of the Manager, provides electrical installation and maintenance services for all electrical systems across the College. 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Electrician – Ontario College of Trades – Certificate of Qualification (309A)
  • Fire Alarm Certification (5 modules @ 40 hours each) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years general electrical experience in an industrial/commercial setting requiring independent application of technical skills
  • Previous licensing using elevated working platforms and equipment
  • Ability to operate a scissor lift, aerial boom, forklift and have spotter safety training
  • Additional knowledge with emergency generators, transfer switches, and emergency lighting systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Z462 and WHIMIS
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license required
  • First Aid and CPR certificates preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
