Food Manufacturing – Summer Students

What's in it for You?

• Starting wage of $21.12 per hour
• May – August ( Summer Break)
• Monday to Friday with Weekend Overtime opportunities (Rotational Shifts)
• Afternoon shift premium

Your Future:

• Responsible for set up and operation of food processing and packaging machinery.
• Responsible to check, correct, sort and repack goods to ensure optimal quality and maintain a low level of loss.
• Maintain accurate documentation of product and processes.
• Responsible for cleanliness, adjustments and basic trouble shooting of tools and equipment.
• Consistently follow all Dr. Oetker Health & Safety and Food Safety & Security policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• Enrolled at College or University Program.
• Enrolled at College or University at Food Technology or Culinary Arts an asset.
• Proficient in your technical understanding, reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, and verbal communication.
• Experience in operating industrial scale food manufacturing and packaging equipment is an asset.
• Previous experience in a food-manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
• You must be able to pass a written test performed in the London location.
• Physical essential abilities are handling heavy loads (up to 25 KG), manual dexterity, attention to detail, good hand-eye co-ordination, and bending, twisting, and lifting abilities.
• You can stand for long periods of time and are able to work in hot and cold conditions.
• You have the ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines, and can work independently as well as in a team environment.
• You have your own transportation, as public transportation is not available.
• You will not allowed to wear piercings, jewelry, nail polish, fake eyelashes, fake Fingernails etc. in production area.
• Must be able to touch and work with pork, chicken, beef and dairy products.
• Ability to work days and afternoon shifts, on a two week rotating basis.
