General Machinist

We are currently looking for two team-oriented full-time General Machinists to join ourteam on the day and afternoon shift. Our afternoon shift includes a paid meal break, and a $2.00/hour shift premium.
Job Summary:
The General Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating various machines. This position is responsible for procedures such as cutting, squaring, milling, drilling, tapping, and boring. The General Machinist must be able to produce components from complicated component drawings, sketches, and/or verbal instructions to produce product specifications.
The responsibilities for the General Machinist will include:
- Set up and operate machines to perform machining operations in accordance with design drawings, sketches, and oral instructions.
- Plans and lays out work from shop drawings, sketches, and oral instructions.
- Determine machining sequence based on shop drawings.
- Sets up and adjusts multiple machines for a variety of run times.
- Using measuring devices to regularly check components for conformity.
- Strongly adhere to quality and regularly check workpieces.
- Assist in training of other machinists as needed.
Education, Skills and Job Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years machining experience.
- Machinist trade qualification ticket or relevant experience.
- Effectively read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Mechanical aptitude.

Pay: $29.00-$35.00 per hour
