Job Description

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and team-oriented part-time Delivery Coordinator to join our Yurek Pharmacy & Home Healthcare team in St. Thomas, Ontario.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Retail Sales Manager the Delivery Coordinator’s duties will focus on coordinating with all departments to arrange for delivery to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with all departments and staff regarding delivery requests from our customers.
  • Answer phones and call customers to set up delivery times, maintaining a friendly attitude, and referring customers to management if a problem cannot be resolved.
  • Set up and monitor runs for drivers.
  • Helps ensure the files within the department are properly maintained so that information can be quickly retrieved.
  • Completes all quality control functions and quality improvements tasks assigned to them.
  • Suggests methods and systems for measuring and improving the department’s service levels.
  • Pays attention to store security and follows store policy regarding shoplifters.
  • Follows the company procedures for opening, closing, and balancing cash.
  • Follows company procedures regarding cheques, credit cards, voids, cash and customer accounts.
  • Accurately records and handles cash transactions with a minimum of voids and errors.
  • Supports other departments within the store, including:
    • Front Shop
    • Home Health Care
    • Receiving
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of High School diploma.
  • 3 - 6 months of experience working as a delivery coordinator would be highly desirable.
  • Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred.
  • Computer literacy (data entry, scanning, etc.) is required, previous experience using Finestra POS system considered an asset.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and problem solve effectively
  • A demonstrated sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently
